The Chris Forsberg Racing Literacy Foundation

Every kid deserves a book — and a dream worth chasing.

Driven to Read is a literacy foundation with a racing heart. We put books into the hands of young readers — preschool through 2nd grade — and we tell them the truest thing we know: never give up, never stop dreaming.

Never give up. Never stop dreaming.— The Story of Force

How it started

A little cat with a big dream started all of this.

Chris Forsberg has three Formula Drift championships and a Nissan Z that goes sideways for a living. He also wrote a picture book about Force — a little rescue cat who wanted the podium more than anything.

Copies went out at the merch tent, and kids kept coming back to the pit wall to talk about it. That was the moment: the same never-give-up spirit that wins races could put books in the hands of kids who don't have many. So it did — and Driven to Read was born.

Every copy sold at the track sends more books to young readers.

What we're made of

Read. Dream. Drive.

Three words on the side of the trailer, and the whole plan in a nutshell.

Read

Books in hands — real, printed, keep-them-forever books, in the preschool-through-2nd-grade years when a reader is made.

Dream

Force was a little rescue cat who wanted the podium. Every kid deserves a dream that size, and a story that says it's allowed.

Drive

Never give up. Never stop dreaming. Three championships taught us that grit is a skill — and it starts on the page.

Get involved

Never give up.
Never stop dreaming.
